Learning Objectives
To educate the participants about the dangers of Rape and Defilement on the life of the youth.
Notes
Purpose of the visit, Manuela went to Kagulu village to teach about the effects and dangers of Rape and Defilement to the lives of the girl child feature and boys. Manuela reached the village found participants at the meeting place, she requested for Mustula to pray, after she asked the participants about the previous lessons, members where able to share their views, after that, she introduced the lesson, she asked participants about Rape and Defilement, they said too common in their society and even in the nearby village. Manuela asked them what causes Intense cases of Rape and Defilement in the community, As far Defilement, they suggested answers like, poverty, ignorance, admiring wealth, children’s behavior and among others. As for Rape, they suggested answers like bad peer groups in the community, sharing rooms with parents, bad dressing cords of the girls, poor up bringing of the children in the community , parents sending children late to the treading center or to fetch water then they also mentioned that some parents negotiating with culprits also is leading to the rampant cases ofRape in their society. Manuela asked them what can be done to overcome such behavior in the community? They first kept quiet, then later one man said that they will try to protect their children from becoming victims of such cases. Manuela joined the conversation advising the participants to stand up report such cases to the law makers so that the culprits can face the law to pay for their deeds and through that they will stop doing that. She went on and encourage the parents to be creative and find other options of income generating activities, like opening up business and farming of vegetables to get money than marrying off their young daughters just for money yet the girls are going to suffer and feature is not secured. As for Rape, Manuela advised the parents to talk to their children about the dangers of early sex practice and activities that can make their children to fall victims of Rape and other related sex offense. She went on and told parents to continue encouraging their children about the value of education and importance of virginity in the society. Manuela warned the parents who negotiates with Rapists to give them money than taking them to courts of law, she told them that the more they negotiate with them the more they continue causing the same offense in the community spoiling the lives of the young ones , She also told parents to stop keeping quiet just for the sake friendship No sex abuse must be handled lightly. One of the participants told the fellow participants what happened to his former village about practice of marrying off their young girls. This was recorded in the folder for pictures.

22206 Kagulu village, that man was explaining about the incident that happened in his village before he came to Kagulu, he said that, one man in their village Married off her 15 years old Daughter to a common Rich man just for money and cows, but her daughter was not happy with the decisions made by his dad, the Rich man used the girl for money rituals, time came the father of the girl started asking for her daughter , the Rich man said he doesn’t know where the girl is, up to now, the girl’s dad regrets the day he told her to leave his house and go to the Rich man’s , he cries but no help, he even fears to go to the police. So this man encouraged the fellow participants to educate their children that arriving them off at early stage.
22209 Manuela was advising the participants to always report the culprits who practice Rape and Defilement to the police so that to avoid the such cases problem in the community, she went on and told to also stop accepting bribes from the culprits.
