- Notes
- Alex was in Buyange to follow up on the borehole contributions and on a good note, this community already raised 300,000sh needed for the initial borehole account. This shows that there is a very big sense of responsibility and ownership in this community. He then had a meeting and training of the water user committee about what they have to do during the drilling process like making sure there is enough water that is required and Alex also told them to have some water tanks to reserve water as it some times require a lot of Water during the drilling process since the soil tend to collapse a lot. He called on all the committee members to stick together during this whole process as it requires combined efforts because of a lot of work that comes in. Alex did move around the community in 26 homes to continue encouraging the people to maintain the good sanitation standards now that it’s raining too much this season there are high risks of diseases like Malaria, typhoid, cholera and diarrhea. So he called on everyone to be very vigilant and maintain the hygiene practices in their homes. Drilling is expected any time soon whenever the contractor will be ready after a big contract they have in Mayuge.
