Notes
They first moved around the village checking on sanitation status of the homes. This village being in a sandy location, heavy rains have affected many people in the village. Again it rained too much last night and the chairman of the sanitation committee reported of some individuals that lost pit latrine structures, bathroom structures and kitchen structures. Alex and some community members went around the village to encourage the people not to give up but quickly build up these structures and make sure they roof them strongly this time. When a roof is strong then the whole structure can last longer also. They found one person called Jackson who had lost his pit latrine due to heavy running Water and was already putting up a new structure. Others wanted to get new bricks to put up the new structures. Together with the Guymers, they visited the open shallow pond where the community members still get water for drinking and other domestic activities and also visited a water point that was recently surveyed and where the new borehole will be drilled. Then they had a meeting with the water user committee and some community members where Alex told them that the drillers would be coming in at a near time and so everyone needs to give a hand in the many activities that take place during drilling of a borehole like collecting water to fill up the tanks, take good care of the machines and feeding of the workers. Also the water committee and community was very happy to hear from Alex that the drillers will be very soon in their community and everyone is ready for them. The community has already put up money and food together to feed the workers and have been called on to continue working together. The community was very happy to host two Kibo visitors in their community
