- Keneth and Steven visited buyange village to do a triggering in hand washing session as scheduled during the last visit with the village leaders. On arrival, members were already mobilized and ready for session and the chairperson of the village introduced keneth and Steven to the community members and later called them to start off the lessons. Keneth thanked all members who endeavored to come and learn and told them that the purpose of the lesson is to learn how to wash our hands and started with asking a question to community that what are some the uses of your own hands? Members gave answers like eating,anal cleansing,scratching itchy parts,breastfeeding and many more and keneth asked them further how these uses are related to diseases. One member said they are related in the way that they transmit diseases. Keneth thanked him and also asked them that what are some of the diseases related to this behavior and members gave answers like diarrhea,typhoid, dysentery and many more and keneth thanked all members who gave in and asked members to show their hands to their neighbors and asked volunteers who had their hands clean to come forth and demonstrated the washing of hands with and without soap letting the community realize the difference between the waste water. He also asked one member to smear charcoal in her hands and later washed her hand and she gently put her fingers in the posho leaving marks on it and community realizing the dirt under fingernails and eating while we share food and keneth asked them what to be done in order to deal with this and they agreed to wash hand with soap and keep fingernails short and Steven came in to introduce the stand model and it’s standards and later they had a group photo with members who attended the session
