- Notes
- Enock went to this village to start working on the last evaluation survey. During the survey, he checked on the presence of latrines, shower areas, dish racks, kitchen areas, rubbish pits, clean compounds, smeared facilities, dish racks and standardisation of all the facilities. As soon as he reached, he got to know their was a funeral in the village. We managed to walk in a few homes since everyone in the village was going to attend the funeral. There are only two residents who for a very longtime have never had latrines in their homes. One of the residents is called Kasabanga Paul and Ibra kibuduka . The two were the most stubborn residents. Enock called them in a meeting to find out why they haven’t completed latrines. They realised they were just slow, and came to a conclusion of 1 week for them to have finished completing their facilities. The community members have greatly improved on their sanitation levels. After that, Enock and a few people went to attend the funeral of a resident who had passed away. They participated in collecting water and offered condolence to the family that has lost their beloved one. After the burial Enock had to travel back to jinja before it’s dark. They scheduled to go back and complete the last evaluation survey.
