- Lorna started her lesson by reviewing the previous lesson which was on communication styles Assertiveness, Passive and Aggressive behavior. Overview Lorna found the pupils in class, they exchanged greetings and together with the 2 Life Skills teachers started the lesson of the day. Lorna started by reviewing the previous lesson which was on communication styles. She asked the pupils what the styles were , which they answered correctly. Lorna then asked the pupils in their respective groups A,B and C to participate in the role play concerning the above topic. In their respective groups they managed to act out and through that Lorna was able to tell they understood communication styles. The role play was done in both English and Lusoga. After going through the above, Lorna introduced the lesson Attack and Avoid. She started by asking the students what the words meant in their local language. Lorna wanted the pupils to understand well in their local language what the above word meant. After finding out what these words meant in the local language, Lorna asked the pupils the characteristics of someone with attacking behaviour, the disadvantages of attacking behaviour and the advantages of avoiding behaviour. On attacking behaviour they gave answers like, attacking behaviour leads to enemies, imprisonment,isolation, fighting, while on the advantages of avoiding they gave, it leads to unity, friendship,parental love among others. Lorna also looked at the definition of persuasion under communication together with the pupils.
