- Notes
- Harriet found a few members gathered at the meeting place. After 39 minutes other members turned up. She asked them to take her to the home where they had built a stove on their own.members told her that they were able to build two stoves on their own from the time Kibo staff last visited their village.
Harriet walked with them to inspect those stoves and found that they were perfectly done. Harriet asked the group to start building stoves on their own . The community said that they are sure that they have mastered the skill but they still have a challenge of removing banana stems. They there fore asked Harriet to add them one extra lesson on how to remove banana stems so that they are able to master the whole process.
Harriet told them that she is going to add them one more lesson of which the group will remove banana stems as she guides them. This is because through practising how to build stoves it’s the reason why they have learnt.
The community thanked Kibo for empowering them with a skill, Being patient with them despite the many mistakes they have so far done in the stove building process.
