Notes
Harriet, Jeska and Tape found when the participants had already started mixing termite dirt and grass. The community had decided to build stoves for two people ( Togolo Sabasi and Mufumbiro Jamadha) .They divided themselves into two groups each group to one home. Kibo staff built two stoves as they explained the whole process to the participants. At the end, they had a meeting to assess the level of understanding of the community. Harriet asked each member to draw down a diagram showing how a complete stove looks like and explain to members. It was very interesting to see eight men and one woman volunteering to represent the village. Out of these participants only one man effectively drew and explained how a complete stove looks like while the remaining four men and one woman failed. Harriet thanked these people who tried more so those three men who were effective. She also encouraged every one to participate so that they master the skill that they will later implement. She also encouraged the women also to be active because the program directly benefits them.

3380 This man Isabirye Ibrahim is drawing down how a complete stove looks like after watching/ working with Kibo while building a demonstration stove. This is because the goal of this program is for the group to master a skill and build stoves on their own
