- David and Steven were in the village to guide the community while they were forming up the two active-water user committees for the two boreholes as well as preparing them for the the borehole repair. They did so because the committees which were formed in the beginning were tentatively selected,and some members that were selected wanted to serve for the short period of time . David and Steven found about seventy members gathered at their meeting place ready to elect and form up active borehole water user committees for the two boreholes. The meeting started by an opening prayer followed up with the hearing from the entire members who had turned up for that meeting . They all agreed that they wanted to elect and form up new active water user committees because on the two committee s there was some weaker members.Because of that the Wash crew started guiding them ,they started by thanking the two tentative committees for their time and heart of serving their village. Kibo Staff gave the entire community a chance to elect the best members they thought would serve them more effectively and efficiently. The members from nawampiti 1 were the first to elect and form up their borehole committee which was comprising of 4 ladies and 4men. Later also the members from nawampiti 2 also elected and formed up their borehole committee .It was made up of 3 ladies and 5 men . Kibo staff David and Steven thanked those who were elected and because of the time factor ,David gave them little light about what they were supposed to be doing .For example encouraging the entire community to always fully own their borehole,encouraging all members to continue contributing towards their borehole account.Also to keep reminding every one to maintain the required hygiene sanitation standards.David requested the members to allow him end there because time was out for them to come back to jinja.In general nawampiti village on the side of hygiene and sanitation all the community members have worked to the required standards. In addition to the above David promised the members to call them once again in order to guide them as they form up their borehole rules and regulations. David also left them with an assignment to construct good soak pits and strong fences around the two boreholes . David and Steven said they will be visiting the village to guide them as they construct the two strong fences and two good soak-pits around the two boreholes .
