Bible Lesson 7: The Tongue
Notes
Ida went to Sinde and taught about the "Tongue " Ida asked What is a tongue?.Nabwire Karen said that it's the language, Samanya said that it's a small thing found in the mouth between the upper and lower jaw. Ida asked Isaac Gusino to read from James 3:2-12. At the end of the scripture, the community had started reacting about the text. Nasirumbi said that it's true the Tongue is poisonous and can cause death. Ida asked how? Isaac said when people speak without sieving the words. When people give false accusations and also if they don't find out the cause of the conflict. Ida told a story of the five mice/rats. The five rats were going somewhere unfortunately the road was blocked. They thought of a plan, each one had to go and bring back the information. The first one went and came back and reported what he found out, he saw a wall, the next one saw a spear, the next saw basins, the next saw a tree trunk and last one explored everything very well and came back with the full answer. Ida said that in some ways we are all like the first four rats, we see just phrases, and start roumers all over which results into problems. Ida gave them three sieves to use before saying anything. 1 Is it true? 2 Is it worth it? 3 Is it going to unite?.Those are the three sieves that Ida gave to the community, then she gave a memory verse from Ephesians 4:29. Next time the community will recite the memory verse.r
