- Notes
- Harriet and Tape found a few people at the meeting place. Other participants also joined but that day it was the last day for the local council one campaigns. And all the Leaders who were contesting were related to each other and also since they were being voted the next day,it was there last chance to talk to the people.
The Community asked Kibo staff to give them a chance to listen to their candidates manifestos so that they can decide on who to chose to be their next LC1. Harriet encouraged the leaders to be mindful of the language they use while asking votes. She also told them that elections are not ever positive to every one who contests because there is always one winner.
She also asked them to stay working together that is the winning party and the losing party if they are to achieve development because they all come from the same village and they can not all become leaders.
She also told the community also to accept and work with whoever goes through as the LC1 chairperson.
The community thanked Kibo for such uniting and encouraging words. Harriet left the village to prepare for the LC1 chairperson election.
