Notes
Abraham met thirty one Kivule community members and they went around checking the holes they dug for the Mvule and Musizi seedlings. Some members followed the instructions given to them but some did not, they did not do well with the spacing of the holes which is supposed to be thirty meters and they made less. Abraham encouraged them not to plant many trees because they want to have many but to have few trees which they know they can take care of well. Those who did not do it right promised to do it right before the trees come and the committee was willing to go around and check the holes. Abraham showed them how they mix the manure with the soil and fill the holes, one old man said that he is willing to plant five Mvule trees even if he may not use them but his grand children will be happy in future and they will know that he left something valuable for them. The members are starting from this week mixing the soil with manure and fill the holes. Abraham is hoping to take the district forestry officer and see what this group is doing in future. The members said there is a certain community member called Ibula which is the one causing divisions in the community and he is doing this because he supported the candidate who did not go through in the last LC1 elections and now he is against the one who went through. Abraham asked the group if there are some members who can convince Ibula to attend their meeting next time and they said they are going to talk to him. This is happening in most villages that politics is a dirty game as they say.
