Notes
When Alex B arrived to the village,he found few members of Bupaluka waiting for him at the usual meeting place. They had a prayer together, that was led by Saul Mutooto the chairperson. They discussed how they should move on by making some of the bylaws for themselves. The number of the members increased as the meeting was going on.The bylaws will help them to know their responsibilities and guide them before they make a constitution for the group.Alex asked them to come up with what they consider to be the first bylaws that will unite, strengthen them in their group. Mugerwa Miriam suggested that they need to decide when to begin their group weekly meeting as some of them came in late. The members then debated about the time to begin. They debated about the responsibilities they have for their families. They had to think of the garden work as when they go back home from the garden and get ready for the meetings. They also thought of when to go back for some other work after the meeting. They all agreed to begin their weekly meetings from 12:45pm to 2:30pm to let them be able to go for other personal activities. The second bylaw was suggested by Mulondo Patrick, when he said absenteeism without notifying the members for two times. He said should lead one to be dismissed from the group and only the fully employed should be exempted, but during their leave or holidays should attend meetings. They spoke about the issue of one who just writes and notifies the leaders of their not coming and yet she or he is doing his/her own things like garden work. They agreed together that when one is found lying, about attending meetings, will be given a warning by the members. They agreed to add on more bylaws that will help them to stay and work together.
