Ws Notes
David and Steven went to Nawampiti to hold a training together with the committee of the second borehole nawampiti 2.They also completed the final evaluation in order to finish up the 19homes in the lower section side of the village Out of the 19 homes which were evaluated about 4 homes never had good kitchens, and of the 4 homes the two homes the owners had already bought the construction materials. The Kibo staff during their evaluation process when they reached in those four homes they emphasized so much the men in those homes to construct and roof good kitchens for their wives since the next season of the heavy rains and some stronger winds were around the corner for the much rains. The owners of those kitchens promised that they will be carrying out the construction process in the coming two weeks .When the treasurer moved home to home along with the Kibo staff as they were carrying out the evaluation of the remaining homes he collected 25000shillings towards their borehole account. The Kibo staff left the village when the village had added on what they had initially 190000 shillings and when Jacob moved along with the Kibo staff the village had raised 215000 shillings as their borehole account balance. On addition to that, the training went on well and these were the points which were discussed about, The Kibo staff emphasized so much that it will not be Kibo always to carry out the repairs, the village needs to come together and they own fully their borehole. The future sustainability of their borehole will depend on how all the residents keeps on contributing money towards their borehole account.Further more they discussed that the borehole by lows should be kept active by observing them taking ,their cause in order to guide all the borehole users, the members not forgetting roles and responsibilities. After the short training two members thanked the Kibo staff for such a great work and the other one instead prayed for the Kibo staff,s long stay serving in their village. In general according to the Kibo staff,s assessment on the side of hygiene and sanitation there was no case noted for open dification . The great need which was discovered in that village was that only 3 homes had the fire saving stoves.
