- Bible Lesson 4: Loving others
- Notes
- Ida and Fallon went to Kitukiro and continued with the Bible lesson about " Loving others "
Ida reviewed with the community the previous lessons. Then she asked the community to tell her the people they love.
They listed as follows: neighbors, church members, clan members, siblings, parents, husbands and wives.
In the list above, Ida realized that people like drunkards, widows, poor, sick, hungry, old were not mentioned.
She told a story of the Good Samaritan. After the story, Nakazi asked that how can they help because they are used to helping people they know.
Musasizi answered the question saying that the community must help like the Good Samaritan did, not expecting something.
Magumba said that they have to love even those who are hard to love e.g. Enemies, co-wives, step children.
Naomi said that it's as hard as a camel entering through a needle to love a co-wife.
Kateme reminded the community that the Good Samaritan helped the person whom he didn't know. She continued saying that they must learn from that man.
Sarah said that they must not behave like the son who stayed at home with the dad, because most times they tend loose the point. Those who stay either at home, church, in marriage, group loose the point and start feeling jealous, hatred towards the found victims. Sarah Kibuuka continued saying that they must love those who come back home just as the father loved his son who was found.
Gaburiel said that however much he thinks that his sins are many and may be unforgivable, he has learned from the story that God is waiting for a repentant person.
After the lesson some two members came and thanked Ida for the lesson because it was as if someone went to Jinja and reported what was going on in their lives and village.
Gonza requested the master of ceremony to put music that they cerebrate because Kitukiro was lost but now through Kibo they are found. The music was started and people danced like they haven't never danced before.
