Notes
Ida went to Sinde and continued with the poultry lessons about feeding. As usual she first reviewed the previous lessons , where she asked the community to list down the six types of eggs that are not good for incubation. Mattida mentioned three, the pointed, too big and dirty one. Barasa said the one with a crack Nabwire said that the too small one and the old. They were very excited to have remembered everything that they learned. Ida asked the members to get their books and pens to start writing the recipe. Though many can’t write, five men and one lady were ready to write. Ida told the community that when the chics are eight weeks you can easily tell whether they are hens or cocks . It’s important to identify these birds for easy feeding. This feed is for hens (female chic) Broiler starte Maize brand. 58kgs Cotton seed cake. 24kgs Silver fish. 14kgs Shells. 300gms Pre mix. 500gms Salt. 500gms This feed is for only cocks the hens are fed with growers marsh.
