caring for trees
Notes
Alex B and the committee members met at the usual meeting place and had prayer together that was led by Mutooto Saul the chairperson. They discussed how to move as they inspect the trees as a group and how they care about them.
They began with Mr.Wabwose Moses and they found out that his trees are lacking the hedges. when he was asked why trees are not provided with hedges,he simply told them that there are no animals or children that visits that area.Alex B told him that a trespasser may step on them as she or he moves around. He was also told that hedges around the trees help him to identify them easily. The trees were healthy and good. He planted mvule, musizi and giant lira.
They processed to Nantamu, who planted mvule and giant lira. She missed to observe the process of putting back the soil around the seedlings. This led her tree to be weak because it lacked enough water because soil helps to keep water that the tree can absorb in order to grow well.
They saw other members and saw how the trees are and also advised them how to care for them. Some of the members were not watering their trees and Alex encouraged the members water them. Few of them did not fill the hole back with soil after planting the tree. They also noted some planted trees along the ways for water to flow when ever it rained. Not all the family members were involved in during when the trees were planted.
Alex B told the members to see that trees are provided with hedges around them for protection. He also asked them to ensure that every member of the family to be responsible for raising the tree. The trees should be loved and should be constantly checked on and even watered if it is needed. He asked the leaders to be checking with the members to see how the trees are doing. The members were told to report anything they observe that happens to their trees to leaders for advise.
