Village Notes
This village has generally had a very big challenge with poor leadership. The village chairman has not been very active to engage everyone on what to be done and have a collective responsibility and ownership towards their well and maintaining all their sanitation facilities

Notes
Alex and Falon had both gone to Kasuleta one, to connect back the head assembly that was locked three months ago and to conduct another training of the water user committee. However the meeting with the water committee didn’t take place because the village was mourning losing a person in the community and so both Alex and Falon both decided to join the community members who were mourning. Both Alex and Falon only managed to meet with the chairman water user committee, the caretaker and the secretary of the committee who were told to be more responsible and active to mobilize their fellow committee members to do their job. Alex and the hand pump mechanic went ahead and connected back the head assembly to the borehole and everyone in the community were very happy that Kibo group has brought back the head pump for the community to start using their well again. This resolution was reached during the previous meeting with the water user committee and the community had worked very hard to improve their hygiene status in the village. Alex saw many new facilities that were constructed and during that meeting all the village leaders were present and all promised to take the lead to always encourage every community member to maintain their sanitation facilities. Alex shall plan to go back at some point and have a meeting with the water user committee and all the community members.
