- Notes
- Abraham met thirty four Nawaibete community members and they went to pay condolence to one member who lost his child last week. Then they came to their usual meeting place. The chairman thanked the members for keeping trees well, he said that the checked all the members and their trees are alive except those who were stolen in the beginning.
They started discussing what they want to do as a village together and the members had many suggestions, there one member who said they want to grow G nuts and he gave a reason that their land in that village is sandy soil which is good for growing G nuts as a group. He gave also an example of Boulanger village who are well known for growing G nuts. Another member said suggested that they can can grow rice since they have a wetland where they are growing rice.
Abraham thanked the group for keeping trees well and he encouraged them to have one thing what they can do so that they they will search for more ideas about it before starting to do it. He gave them the example of G nuts, if they decide that they are going to do research to see how the people in Boulanger village do it so that they will get ideas how to plant, chemicals for spraying and also what season is fit to plant.
Many members decided that they want to try to grow G nuts because the swamp they have is not big enough to use as a group together. They said they will send some members to Bulange village and get get some ideas.
