- When Alex B arrived at Nabikenge,he found the leaders of the group waiting for him at the home of chairperson Margaret Nabirye. He had planned to meet all the members but later he decided to meet the leaders first because the issue was between the two parties.
Alex met with Village Mvule community leaders basing on the report that the chairperson had given to him about the members stopping to attend the meeting.She said after the project of the garden of groundnuts was harvested , the group was supposed to meet and discuss about hiring land for the second season for them to grow groundnuts but the response was poor.
.One of the leaders known as Segonga said some of the members stopped to contribute money to facilitate other projects they had agreed on like growing rice. Also another committee member (Salongo )also said that when they received the goats,they agreed to take the offspring to general pool for them to decide on what to do with the offsprings but since the members stopped attending the meetings it was not possible.
They based on those reasons to call Alex to go there and they let him know how the group is operating. The call was about to get advise from Alex B and how they can go about it in order for them to move together with the members. But the phone call was not elaborate enough so Alex decided to meet the leaders first and discuss face to face and come up with a solution how to move forward.
Alex B after listening to them asked them financial records and whether they used to inform the members how they were receiving and spending the money for the group.He told them as leaders as they are responsible to make a work plan and present it to members and discuss it together. Since the the members had stopped attending meeting while called upon,he suggested to them as he is going to plan for a meeting so that all the members come and air out their views other than listening to only the leaders who might also be having their own weaknesses.
He encouraged the leaders to convince all the members to turn up for the meeting and Alex B will be be part of the meeting.
He will give all members chance to share or participate during the meeting in love,unity for development in the families,group and the community.He told the leaders get to ready to listen,apologize and reconcile where necessary.
