Notes
Tom passes by the district police head quarters and picked up two police officers that he went with to the village to see what kibo is doing in the village as regards sanitation and hygiene as well as the police officers encouraging the residents about sanitation and hygiene improvements. They arrived in the village and together were joined with the committee members who still decided that they go back to the same section that Tom visited previously. In the first home; they found when the resident had started constructing the dish rack but it was not yet done. They later moved to other homes that still have not yet done anything but in three homes; the digging of pits for the latrines has started and one had even brought bricks to fix his old pit and construct a structure on it. In one home of the lady who was trying to run away, this time she did not run away because she has started on the pit for the latrine. She even thanked kibo because finally her sons are helping her to have a latrine. In another home across the road, the pit is also being dug while one resident said he will be starting his this weekend. Tom kept encouraging them of how important these facilities are to their lives and their families. The committee members were also thankful that finally they can see some change in this section of the village.
