Notes
Alex B arrived at Bupaluka and found the members waiting for him at the usual meeting place. They had prayer together that was led by Saul Mutooto the chairperson of the group.
The chairperson expressed his concern about the money they paid for the registration but there was no feed back from the community development officer of Ivukula sub county.
Alex B immediately raised the CDO to find out about the certificate of the group of Bupaluka ( Balibonera Kwife) the name of the group. The CDO in his response said the certificate, receipt are ready and the constitution was also stamped . Alex B asked the treasurer to go and pick all the documents from the sub county since he has a motorcycle. He immediately picked his motorcycle and went to Ivukula sub county, picked the documents and presented them to the group.
The group was very happy and thanked him for his voluntary services.
The members discussed what they should do next after registration. They suggested to raise money and open a bank account and also to make savings. Mr.Mulondo told the members to open bank account where they will be keeping their money other than with the treasurer in the house and the members bought the idea .They wanted to know the name of the bank and where it is located. Also to know how much money it will require to open bank account. One of the members wanted Alex B to help them in that process since they do not know much about banking.
Alex B thanked the members for effort about registering their group with the government. He advised them to talk to the chairperson, secretary and treasurer to be given that responsibility of opening bank account. He also suggested to them to go to nearby towns that has bank service and find out the following: The bank with good customer care, low bank charges and how much money is required to open a bank account. The members were advised to contribute money for opening bank account and other expenses like transport and meals for people as they will be processing it.He reminded them to love one another and to work hard to develop themselves and their group.
The members agreed the three the, chairperson, secretary and treasury of the group to be the signatories on that account .
