Notes
Abraham met thirty two Ikumbya community members and the main purpose is to discuss about finishing the chicken coop they started building last year as a group. They finished covering the upper part near the roof where there was an opening which they were advised to cover because of wild cats can get a chance to kill the birds. The chairperson thanked the members for looking after trees because when they checked last year only ten Mvule trees died which means now they have three hundred and ninety Mvule trees alive because they planted four hundred Mvule trees. She said that there those members who were given assignments to do and she asked them if they have finished. The treasurer was not in the meeting because she was sick but she sent a message that she bought a canvass for drying chicken feeds. Some members said that they have finished buying items but they did not bring them to the meeting. The members told those members to bring the items in the next meeting because they hope to start having chickens in February this year. They are going to have layers and they hope to construct another chicken coop for broilers in order to compete with market. Abraham thanked the members for the good work done and he advised them to be prepared how they will deal with money because money is a root of sin, he told them that he will take one member from Buwologoma village Mr Balamu Mukasa to share with them how they are doing to be successful in their village. The next meeting they will also discuss about opening of the group account in the Bank.
