- Notes
- Abraham met thirty four Sinde community members and the discussed about how the church can work together with the community. The chairman Mr Okecho thanked the members for coming to the meeting and he thanked Kibo for taking visitors to see what they are doing.
He said that the problem they have as a village is one of the church leader called Birenge wants to do things as he wants and when the community wants to discuss about how they are going to do something he says what he has decided no one has to object it. He said that for them as a village they have no problem towards the church but only Birenge forcing them to do what he wants yet Kibo taught them that they have to make sure everyone participates in the decision making not one person telling others what to do.
Abraham thanked the chairman for a good work they are doing in Sinde, making saver stoves in another village and that shows a spirit of love towards their neighbors.
Birenge was also in the meeting and he said that they wanted to change the meeting place to be at the church but the members refused. Abraham asked the members if they they had a discussion about it and they said no he just told them to move to the church and the members were not happy and that is why they said no.
Abraham advised them always to discuss together not only one person deciding for the group. He told Birenge to work together with the community members because it will help them to continue developing they village.
Working as a group is more better than working as one person.
They said they are going to have another meeting and discuss about the issue and even if they meet at the church or near the bore hole is the same thing but they need to meet always to solve their problems.
Abraham left to Jinja because it was getting late.
