- Notes
- Abraham met thirty two Bukoma A group members and the purpose of the meeting was how to start writing their constitution so that they will be known with the government.
They chairman Mr Mugere thanked the members for coming to the meeting and he said some people lost their trees because of the drought which took a long time without receiving rain and when he was asked how many trees died he did not have the right answer.
Abraham thanked all the members who are keeping trees alive, he advised the committee to go around and check all of the trees so that they can get the number of the dead ones. He told them that they have reached a stage of writing their constitution because this document will help them to be known with the government and also when they will want to open up a group account will help them which is important and they will why banking money in the bank is more important.
He asked them to start thinking what they can do as a group together so that they will indicate it in their constitution.
The members were very happy and one member said that for them they are old people in the village and they do not know how to write the constitution what will they do? Abraham told them that at one point he will give them one of the constitution from another village to guide to write but he doesn't what them to copy and pest because this village is different from others. They said they are going to write something but when they will get a copy they will arrange them.
The next meeting they will be going through what they have written down.
