Notes
When Alex B arrived at Bulyowa,he found the members waiting for him at their usual meeting place. They had prayer together that was led by one of the members. The new elected chairperson of the group James Mpata gave his welcome remarks. He said as members met and discussed how it was necessary to get a leader after the death of the late Martin Kiyuba .The members elected him to lead them and for good of community and the group,he also accepted. He said the number of members was 45 to 65 that means it is growing. The group has renewed it registration from one to three years to operate legally with the government. The group has sh.827000= and was given out to the members as loan. He also said as last season, they harvested 8 bags of groundnuts not yet processed but still in the store. The money from the offspring of the goats is not yet in but when members pay in that money will help them to boost their loaning scheme. The members suggested to wait on to process the loan as they were promised by the CDO of Ivukula sub county. The reason was that they need to be taught the business they can do out of that money. The members decided for the next season to grow one acre of groundnuts and one of soybeans. They are ready to contribute as a group to benefit out that project. Alex B thanked the members for the new leadership of the chairperson. He reminded him always to be example in everything. He reminded them to consult their constitution for guidance. The unity and hard working helps the group to grow and make profits. He advise the members to prepare the garden in time for their crops. The fast rain means a lot to farmers for them plant and lead them to good harvest. The issue of the loan,he advised them not to hurry but discuss what they can do and benefit out it .The loan is money that has to be paid back with interest and in time.
