Notes
David as he was in the village . He was joined by mr Muwadha the mobilizer on the sanitation committee. Mr muwadha led David to the many different homes in the middle of the village called lsamba zone towards the lower section. They both moved in about 60 homes . But David was so encouraged with the much progress in the 58 homes out of the 60 homes they visited. The two homes out of the 60 which were not meeting the standards were of Nyende Godfrey and Wamutawa Yakuti they had only constructed their new latrines and the shower areas except that they were missing also the dish racks. Another challenge which was noted was that the latrines in the two homes were a half way constructed. Therefore David advised Nyende Godfrey and Wamutawa Yakuti to work so first and improve on their latrines by roofing them before the expected rains. The owners of the two latrines promised David and muwadha that by Friday during the Kibo’s evaluation they will have done their best so that their latrines are improved upon. David saw a lot of new smeared homes .but their challenges was the dish-racks . After David and Muwadha ‘s home to home movements they sat down and planned for the next coming third evaluation . They called all residents and the VH T,s who led the Kibo staff into the different homes during the second evaluation. They were informed about the Friday’s evaluation process and also reminded them of not missing to be present that day. They said they would be around because it helps them also. They departed from their small planning meeting because of time but hoping they would meet on the planned evaluation day. In general according to the sanitation status of the lsimba section were David visited the majority of the members were meeting the standards. Except for the two homes that are yet to finish improving on their latrines . Also the greater Challenge noted was that the most homes missed the dish racks.
