Learning Objectives
To remind the parents about their roles to speak to their children
Notes
Introduction Reminding people about their responsibilities is good more especially how to take good care of their children,Manuela went to Nawiabete village to teach the community members about the roles of parents in teaching and guiding their children so that they can be free from early marriages and early pregnancy etc. Objective - By the end of the lesson parents will able to know the importance of having some time to talk to the children. Overview Manuela reached the village and found some of the community members seated waiting for her since she had informed the village members about her coming , it has been awhile since Manuela last went to that village, of course she was on maternity leave. She was happily welcomed, Manuela moved home to home mobilizing members to come for the lessons they were happy to receive her back in their village. Manuela started by appreciating members for attending Life Skills lessons with Lorna, she went on and also told them that now she is back and she going to start from where Lorna stopped, sometimes she will be teaching with Lorna , Manuela reviewed the previous lessons that Lorna taught them , members were able to share their views which was good, after that Manuela taught the community members about parental roles and responsibilities towards their children, Manuela asked members that who among them do talk to their children while at home? No response meaning they don’t have time for their children, Manuela again asked them why don’t they talk to their children, some parents said that they wake up early to go to the nearby town to look for money. Finally Manuela told the members to stay away from politics because it is a dirty game. Instead of that they should have some time and talk to their children basing on today’s situation for instance, early pregnancy, marriages, disease and among others.
