- Manuela went to Nawiabete village to teach about parents to children responsibilities, Manuela realized that most parents have abandoned their responsibility to the extent that some homes are being headed by children in this village. Manuela paid a visit to that home but children saw Manuela and the local councils, the kids decided to run away. But Manuela plans to pay a visit in that village and check on the kids again.
Overview
When Manuela reached the village, she started by moving around the village re mobilizing people to come for the lessons, some members were still in the gardens while others were home preparing to come for the lessons, Manuela also went and saw the bore hole to see if the community have fenced it because previously Manuela told them to fence their borehole if not she will call the WASH team to take away the handle, good enough Manuela found when they have fenced it.
Manuela came back to the meeting place, she found some people seated waiting for her, she started by asking them about the previous lessons, members were able to share views which was good. After that Manuela introduced the new lesson which was about parents to children responsibilities, this lesson was planned to be taught basing on what is happening in the village, Manuela realized that some parents no longer talk good care of their children for instance one of the homes in this village, children are left@lone by themselves which is not good, while teaching Manuela told the parents that children are gifts from God, that means they should try and look after their children very well without fails. Manuela went on and told them that, as a parents they are suppose to feed them , pay school fees, buy clothing , take them to the hospital when they are sick provide protection and have some time to talk to them too.
Manuela is still following up in that home through phone call but the father phone is off, apparently Manuela is calling the local councils one to follow up the case.
