To teach pupils how to make good decisions for life

Introduction Manuela went to this school to teach the pupils about decisions making but emphasizing on the steps in making good decisions. This exercise invites pupils to participate and crate one possible framework to explore when making good decisions and this lesson is aimed at imparting skills and knowledge to pupils so that they can coming up with well informed decisions. Objective By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to know that it is good to first make a decision than acting on action plans. By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to understand what decisions making is Overview When Manuela reached the school, she found pupils on the assembly, Manuela became concern and went and asked one of the teacher, he told her that they were expelling one of the pupils who misbehaved at school, the girl is called Dorcas by the name, this girl seems to be so stubborn to the extent she was not bothered about the suspension but her grandmother was to concern she was even pleading with the teacher not to expel her granddaughter, Manuela was trying to intervene but it was not easy it’s like the school has come up with a final decision on that girl, that is why it was hard for Manuela to help the old women. Manuela also told the teachers that they would have first counsel the girl than coming with that decision. After that, Manuela went to the headmistress office to signed after that she went to Life Skills class, Manuela started by giving the pupils their script, books and pens. After that Manuela introduced the new topic, she explained to the pupils the meaning of decisions making, she first asked the pupils what decision making is , it was hard for them , then Manuela explained to them, decisions making refers to the process of deciding between what is good and wrong, Manuela went on also explained about steps in making good decisions, this lesson was pupils centered, Manuela would asks the pupils questions and pupils would answer after explaining to the pupils seriously. After that lesson, Manuela introduced another lesson which was about roles models, Manuela asked the pupils if they have people whom they admire, this was good because were able to share their role model and what they want to become in feature. Finally, Manuela encouraged the pupils to attend Life Skills lessons and be good boys and girls , they should not be like Dorcas.
