Notes
David was in Bupaluka village. His intention of going there was to follow up on the homes which were reflected during the third evaluation to be having cases of open deification as well as reminding the water user committee members about their full roles and responsibilities towards their borehole. While David was in the village he first moved in the homes which were reflected having the cases of open deification. He moved in the following homes and they had worked and improved on their latrines for example Mugalya Agrey’s second home, kamiya Ben, Binyi Friday, lsiko Jickson, Nyonyintono Moses, Yukon magiri ,Kasani musenze, . David was so encouraged with the great improvements which were in the above mentioned homes .However he kept on encouraging the owners to maintain the right set standards. David appreciated mr Nyonyintono Moses because David found him in his home under a angle tree trying to encourage his elder son Isabirye and other youth from different homes who had just visited to stop using their parents latrine . He was trying to teach them by encouraging them to digging there’s. When David left the lower section he moved towards the trading centre where the other three homes which were also victims of open deification. Unfortunately in Florence mbirile, Elefeleti magili ,and waiswa kasimu there was no progress . However David continued and encouraged the chairman of the water user committee miss miliya mutoto and the village chairman to find away of helping the three homes . The three homes which had no improvements were of the three elderly people . Therefore miliya mutoto promised David that during their next proposed borehole and sanitation meeting she will be airing out that and the village leaders finds away how they will come together to help. The Kibo staff advised them that since the diseases moves one home to another. He therefore requested allthe committee members through Miliya mutoto to intervene in for that sensitive help. David and miliya they also visited the borehole because David wanted monitor and assess the status of the borehole. David was happy because the status of the borehole was well maintained and even the borehole was having a good and stronger fence. When David and Miliya were at the borehole ,David asked miliya about what was the status of their borehole account. She told David that they had 230000 shillings. David told miliya that they needed to keep adding on the money they had because what if In the future the borehole would need an expensive borehole spear part more than the money they had as their borehole account balance. David continued and encouraged the members at the borehole that they should always Continue having borehole general meetings. In order to monitor how they should be progressing and also reminding them selves of their full roles and responsibilities towards the borehole. David also reminded the members that its everyones responsibility taking the good care and full ownership of the borehole. In general the hygiene and sanitation of the village was good. Except for the three homes which were for the elderly and people which needed more help from the community. I
