Notes
Martin went to Buyange village to check on the facility improvement and constructions in the upper trading center. Martin, Chairman and the VHT were focusing on dish racks as well as rubbish pits. This is because there is an improvement in latrine coverage in the trading center, but the coverage of the dish racks and rubbish pits remains low. They were focusing on encouraging and teaching about the importance of those facilities in the homes and encouraging the residents to construct them so that they can improve on their sanitation and hygiene. Generally the community members are working hard to improve their sanitation and hygiene in the upper section of the trading center. Six dish racks done, Ten rubbish pits done, Four latrines constructed and two homes are digging new pit latrines. Martin and the group were so happy to see that even a difficult man called Mandwa constructed a strong latrine with bricks and cement. They walked in 30 homes.
