- Introduction
Lorna went to this village to teach HIV prevention : proper condom use , Disease Progression and Positive behavior.
Overview
Lorna reached the meeting and waited some time before being joined by the chairman of this village. The chairman apologized to Lorna for coming late and also informed Lorna and the few people present that unfortunately the meeting was not going to take place and when Lorna asked why?, he said because because the parents were being called to Kivule Primary School for a meeting. She was disappointed and told him but when she communicated he said Lorna should go ahead and go to the village. He said that was true but information had just reached him. He asked Lorna to reschedule for 5/4/2019. They agreed to reschedule for Friday. Lorna asked what the meeting was about and she was told there were some school dues that needed to be paid and most of the parents had not yet complied. Lorna instead of leaving immediately, asked the chairman to move in some homes check on their sanitation before heading out. They moved to about 7 homes and found the facilities some were good while others needed maintenance.
During this time , the Chairman Balaki from Nawaibete called Lorna and asked when she would be back in their village. The WASH team had locked down their borehole because they had gone down on their hygiene standards and had also failed to take care of their borehole as advised by Lorna and Manuela. Lorna told him until they comply with the standards required of them and also because they were not attending well the meeting.she however told him she was nearby and he asked if she would pass by. Lorna left Nawampiti and Since time was still on Lorna’s side , she decided to pass by for a quick check and found when they had put up a new fence but had not completed the soak pit. Since it was not her plan to be in this village she did not spend much time here and after she left, she called the chairman and asked him to encourage the community to finish up with the soak pit.
Conclusion
Lorna left nawampiti after they rescheduled to meet Friday 5/4/2019.
