Notes
Harriet found when the participants had just finished building the second stove. The community had identified two participants to receive stoves that had agreed to demonstrate. When they got to the village Harriet asked the group to walk with them to the homes where the stoves were built and this was intended to see whether the participants had built these stoves on their own. She looked at them but still the participants had made some mistakes in measuring the banana stems which would affect the effectiveness of the stove. This was intended to confirm whether the participants have mastered a skill or they need more lessons. Harriet and the group dismantled the stove and guided the group to remeasure the banana stems. Two women volunteered to measure the banana stems as Harriet guided them. She asked these two ladies to master the skill of measuring the banana stems and always take the lead in that area when ever they were building stoves. Also during the meeting there were three women and one man who came from another sub county( Mawanga Sub County) and asked Kibo to extend its services to their sub county because they have seen some people from kiteigalwa who were now cooking on stoves and how their lives have improved. Harriet told them to wait for kiteigalwa to master the skill and liaise with them so that they can teach them too.
