Ida and Irene went to Budumba village to talk about the storm and this specifically refers to the daily struggles the community members go through in their daily life. Ida started with a brief review of the previous meeting and then asked the community members the meaning of the word storm in their local language so as to have a clear picture of what the lesson would be like. Ida gave the biblical storm that Jesus and his disciples encountered while they were on the lake and how the disciples called out on Jesus to help them calm the storm after they had tried out on everything but failed and then Jesus came to their rescue. Ida requested the members to mention some of their daily storms that they encounter in life and Otim mentioned poverty,Amina gave divorce,school fees,and many more examples so Ida advised them to trust in God against all the daily storms because despite all the storms it’s only God who can calm them. The chairman local council asked for advice what to do with the storm he’s going through. He has two wives and he is tired of them and is wanting to run away from them. Ida asked what was the problem and good enough he shared. Ida talked to him and encouraged him to invite his wives to the meeting and learn. Ida summed up the lesson by requesting the members to ask questions in relation to the lesson and gave them demonstrated pictures to shade that reflected the storm that Jesus encountered and after asked the members to carry the pictures home as a reminder that despite all the storms that they go through it’s only God that can help them through.
