This visit was first to check on the new borehole performance since when it was commissioned a week ago for the community to start using it. Alex met with all the sanitation committee members and asked if all was going well with the new borehole just to make sure it’s serving the community as required. Kibo group has six months to report about any issue back to the contractor who drilled the borehole to come back on the ground and rectify anything not going well with this borehole. On a very good note, there was no any issues so far with the well and everyone in the village is happy and enjoying this water from this new Kibo well. Alex told the water user committee to closely monitor this well and report to Kibo if anything unusual happens that might need to be fixed by the contractor. The borehole money was agreed by everyone in the community to be kept in the bank and the three signatories have promised to ask the bank on Tuesday 28/05/2019 details to have a joint account opened in the bank and be able to give a feed back to Kibo and the community by 20/06/2019. The committee was also reminded to keep the promise of being very active and ensuring the bylaws are followed. Every home needs to contribute 500/= towards their borehole account every month. Another community meeting was scheduled on the 19/06/2019 to reflect on the borehole performance and follow up on the borehole account status.
