- Ws Notes
- David and Steven were in the village to meet with the village chairman and some water user committee members so that they would make preparations for the next third evaluation . They met with mr Mwanja lsacc the village chairman and Mr Batusa the borehole chairman who lead the Kibo staff to the different homes .
In the quite a number of homes the Kibo staff visited . They saw a lot of shower areas and latrines which were affected by the recently heavy rains. Therefore David and Steven kept on encouraging the members who were affected to work hard by improving on their sanitation standards .
They were also encouraged by the majority of the homes which had maintained the required hygiene standards .However the Kibo staff encouraged the members to also maintain and improve some few areas which were not up to standard.
They were also lead to the two boreholes one at the school which the Kibo repaired some time repaired and the other one the Kibo drilled by the water user committee members
The Kibo staff were impressed by the way how the two communities had kept the good care of the two boreholes.David encouraged the committee members from the borehole that the Kibo did the repair to also use stronger poles like the ones the other Kibo borehole used to make their fence.
They left the two boreholes and under the mangle tree they made preparations for next third evaluation process.
David portioned the entire village amongst the community members they were to walk with during the evaluation. They did so because they wanted to easy the evaluation process by involving citizens of the area.
In general according to the hygiene and sanitation of the entire village was good . Except for the homes which were affected by the recent heavy rains.
