- Alex B met forty five members of Maliga upper.They discussed the preparation for for receiving the goats from kibo group .
Fidah the chairperson of the group suggested that every member should be ready with family to receive the goat. She said that it works well for all the people in the home to be responsible for taking care of the goat because it is expected to benefit the entire family not an individual.The members should have a good relationship with their neighbors for the good of the goat project.The environment in the homes should be good for the animal to stay health.
The members also suggested that for a member to receive a goats,their family members should be open for the leaders to check with them on how their goats and the trees are doing.
They also suggested that the leaders of the group and Lc1 should have a good recommendation about him or her before goats will be given out them that is should have good records.
Alex B told them that all the members who will receive the goats should have clean home and well roofed, ventilated house where the goats will be kept.They should have good pit latrine,bathroom,kitchen,rubbish pit and grazing place for the goat.
The person should be one who attend group meetings and eager to work for development. The members should fully participate in all the projects of the group and willing to take back the offspring to general pool.The members should be of good behavior and with good relationship with the neighbors.He or she should have participated in the previous programs of kibo group and have good repetition which proves the responsibility of the owner to take good care of the goat given.
Alex B thanked them for their deliberations and asked them to bare in mind what ever the had discussed and the secretary to track and keep all those records for guidance.
