- The homes that hadn’t met the sanitation standards in the village were the target that day to check if sanitation improvements were made. The water and sanitation committees have been recently working together with an NGO called Water Missions to teach more about sanitation in the village. Most of the homes visited have maintained their sanitation facilities most especially the pit latrines and the fact that recently another NGO continued to encourage the village on sanitation improvements. Alex managed to visit about 17 homes to check on their sanitation facility standards and managed to see some two new dish racks that were constructed recently. He met with two sanitation committee members, Mukose and Anthony and agreed to have another day to have a village meeting about empowering everyone to maintain their sanitation facility standards and come up with a village plan to maintain the sanitation standards in the village. A few homes were visited because there was a funeral on the village and concluded to have another day to visit all the other homes that hadn’t met the standards and see if they made improvements before being updated into the third village survey and conduct a village sanitation meeting. WASH shall plan another visit back to this village soon
