Notes
Martin went to Kishaike, to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement in that village. He walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the VHTs. When they were walking around that village, they were so impressed to see many new sanitation facilities in that village like new pit latrines others are constructing them, dish racks, rubbish pits, kitchens and shower areas. The group were especially checking on hand washing facilities as well as dish racks. Good enough on the side of dish racks, the big number of homes have worked on them. But on side hand washing, few homes have worked on them, because the time kibo entered in that village, they were few latrines. So some homes are still working on latrines before they start working on their hand washing facilities. For those who are still working on their sanitation facilities, Martin and the group were encouraging them about the standards, maintenance, smearing and the use of ash to eliminate mosquitoes, flies and smell in their houses. And for those who are still digging their new pit latrines and constructing structures on them, the group were them for the better construction members and standards. Someone my ask that why are we ever working with the Chairman LC1, sanitation committee members and VHTS. Because those are the people who are so active and easiest to meet them in every village. Martin and the group walked in 38homes.
