Notes
Tape and Suzan went to the village to teach the community members how to build the fuel efficient stoves. When they arrived there, they found the members already stamping the dirt which was going to be used for building the stove. The members happily welcomed Kibo staff while dancing and singing songs of joy, and then Tape and Suzan joined the members in stamping the dirt until it got soft and ready for building the stove. It was was carried into the kitchen and the members with some local leaders stood aside preparing to watch the whole building process. Kibo staff began building the stove while explaining each step to the members because it enabled them learn the skills easily. Some members tried to practice in certain steps such as cutting and measuring the banana stems and smearing the stove when it was complete. Kibo staff requested the members to always try and build stoves on their own for it would make them perfect with time. Two stoves were successfully built on that day and the community danced and rejoiced, thanking Kibo group for love that they showed to them and also promised to work hard as a team for an effective development in their community. Finally the meeting came to an end after they all agreed on the date that the next meeting would take place.
