Notes
Ida went to Bupeni to teach about how to make more than one chicken hatch. Last time they learned to mark eggs and identified the bad ones that can’t be hatched. After marking the eggs, give them to the chickens to incubate. Start preparing for hatch, buying the following items: drinker, feeder, a small pot and charcoal, glucose, vaccine. The reason we prepare these things is to get ready to care for the chics since the mother is going to be taken away. Feeder for putting in feeds, drinker for water since the chics will not be loitering looking for food. A small pot and charcoal for warmth where mother chicken is not.Glucose to be given for three hours after hatching to strengthen the bones and give heat. Vaccines for immunization. Next time will teach how to mix chicken feeds.
