Village Notes
Harriet Jeska and Tape reached at the home of the participant who was identified to get the first demonstration stove. They did not find anyone except that woman and her children. They waited thinking that other members will also join but all in vain. This forced Kibo staff to walk around and find out why others were not coming for a meeting. They told them that the woman who was to get the demonstration stove (Nekesa Tape) abused them and said that she doesn't need them for any development program and she doesn't want to work with any one in the group. Kibo staff also could not go a head and work with one member who was not willing to work with others because the stove program aims at uniting the community. As they were still in the village they came a cross a woman who was ill and the family members were just looking at her waiting for her death. She had problems with her uterus which was taken out medically but she overworked her self before recovering. Kibo staff talked to the relatives to find out why she was not taken to the hospital and they said that they did not have money even for Transport. Harriet decided to put in a car and run her to the hospital as other family members look for the money to clear the medical bills. The community was very Happy and thanked Kibo staff for being Good Samaritans . Hopefully she will get well and glorify the Lord.r
