Notes
Martin went to Kishaike, to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement in that village. He walked around with the Chairman LC1 and the VHTs to check on the sanitation facilities like latrines, dish racks, rubbish pits, kitchens and shower facilities. Good enough the big number of homes in that village have worked on them, and the few homes are still working on their sanitation facilities like digging the new pit latrines. And those who have been contributing their money for buying nails, they told the group that their are going to construct them in few days. Those who have worked on their moveable dish racks, they are appreciating Tom for the lesson he taught them, because the termites have been disturbing them to much. The group was encouraging the residents about the standards, maintenance, smearing and the use of ash to eliminate flies and smell in their homes, to reduce diseases like malaria and others. The village leaders and the community itself, are requesting kibo that after completing their home facilities, if there’s any other program, they are willing to work with them. Because they have seen the value of kibo. After that, Martin had a brief meeting with the village leaders to discuss about the second evaluation, and they are willing to work for it. According to their hard working, kibo is willing to work with them. Martin and the group walked in 40homes, because they are close to each other.
