Notes
David and Martin went to Ndalike, they walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their focus was to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvements . They were so encouraged to see that at list every family was working hard to dig a new pit latrine. The group encouraged the village to dig the deeper pit latrines, which will last for a long time. And they also encouraged the community members to construct their pit latrines in a sustainable way, meeting rightful standards. Out of 46homes , six homes were found busy working on their new sanitation facilities like Talaile Joshua’s kitchen it’s was under construction, Robert Kiyayu’s new latrine was under construction with bricks and cement, Jane Gabula, had started digging a new pit latrine for her family and it’s was 15ft deeper they said that they were continuing to make it 30ft deeper, Margret Baidhi’s new latrine was also under construction, Moses Ngada was also constructing a new kitchen with bricks which is good because that is cheaper and affordable to him . Philip lubale constructed a new moveable and strong dish rack. Other families told the kibo staff that they were also willing to work on their sanitation facilities. After that Martin, David and the village leaders had a brief meeting and discussed about how they would help the rest of the community members to work and improve on their sanitation facilities. They all agreed to resume serious business since they had just left their harvesting season. And each member was in his home. They also decided to work together with with water user and sanitation committee members to make the work easier. Since they would have joined their efforts from the two sanitation groups . In general according to the sanitation status of the entire village was improving.Except for some homes which had the great need for improvements.
