Notes
Tom made a visit to ibaako and met with the village leaders and discuss about Kibo’s intentions in working in the village especially promoting sanitation and hygiene. The village leaders were so happy and thankful for the program and said even though there was a Sanitation program before the borehole was drilled, still the standards are not good. One of the village leaders pointed out that there even some residents on the village leaders committee that also don’t have latrines. Tom took them through the first steps of the program starting with the baseline survey, preparing for triggering, triggering and them follow ups. Them encouraged the leaders to be supportive and present during the baseline survey as well as other stages of the program. The village leaders thanked kibo for all the programs that have been there and promised to also embrace the Sanitation and hygiene program. The chairman promised to also introduce Tom to the sub-county officials during his next visit.
