Notes
This visit was to meet with all the land owners to make sure they all agree to drill the borehole on the two sites that were selected by the surveyor. Also all the community members must have to agree first if they are all ok with the water points that were selected. One of the water points is located in the land of the parish local leader LC2, Mpongo. He is indeed very happy that this can be one way to give back to his community by allowing to have a borehole drilled on his land. He agreed to sign on the land agreement as required by Kibo group before the well drilling. Also the second point is located in the lower part of the village and its at the border of two land owners. Both of the land owners agreed to have the well drilled by Kibo group. They also agreed to sign on the land agreement as required by kibo group. The water user committee members are working hard to encourage all the members to work together and are user they meet all the contributions required. The borehole drilling for both sites in Kisiro is expected soon and its important to have the village prepared before it happens to avoid any bad outcomes that may arise when the village fights for points to have the borehole drilled. Alex also continued to train the water user committee on their roles and responsibilities in what to do during this process like feeding the workers and mak8ng sure the machines are taken care of.
