Bible Lesson 6: Prayer
Notes
Ida went to Bukhana and taught about prayer. She first asked the community what prayer is? She received responses like talking to God, asking God for what one wants, crying to God for help. Then Ida went on to elaborate more about what preacher really is/Means. Ida first told them about some of the prayerful people in then bible and these include the following, Hannah prayed to God and was blessed with a baby boy Samuel; Jesus also prayed all the time speaking to his father for guidance, protection, and strength; he also taught the disciples about prayer and how to pray to the father. What is prayer? Prayer is our direct line with heaven. Prayer is a communication process that allows us to talk to God!He wants us to communicate with Him ,like a person to person phone call. Cellphones and other devices have become a necessity to some people in today's society, computers and all these have different applications and modes of communication. These are means of communication that allow two or more people to interact , discuss and respond to one another. She urged them to also talk to God in the same manner like how we use the gadgets. Ida added that prayer seems complicated, but it is simply talking to God.
