- Notes
- Ida went to Sinde to teach about hatching, she encouraged the group to pay attention because preparing chickens for hatching is the most sensitive part of the lesson. Once this stage is got well, you will have prepared your chickens to hatch at the same time for the rest of their lives.
Sorting out the bad eggs is important because we want every egg to hatch. The community was happy to learn the eggs that can’t hatch can be sold or eaten that the member doesn’t loose.
Ida encouraged the community to use ONLY a pencil when marking eggs ( writing on the dates when layered)
The six types of eggs that can’t hatch are
The too small, too big, cracked, too pointed, the old(first layered) and the too dirty one. After sorting out the six types out, give each hen eggs according to your wish from twelve and above for incubation. It will take 21 days and 6 hours for your chickens to hatch.
Two days before hatching, prepare the following things in the next lesson.
