Notes
Martin and Enock went to Ibaako, they walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the VHTs in that village. Even if it’s raining too much, and it’s a new village on side of sanitation and hygiene program, but the kibo staff and the village leaders was so happy to that some homes have started working on their sanitation facilities like digging the new pit latrines and others replacing those who have been destroyed by the heavy rain. The group was encouraging the residents that because of the value of those homes facilities, you have to work on them through your efforts, not because of kibo or by force. They told them that, those facilities are going to help their families and to eliminate diseases like malaria, diarrhea and typhoid, which is always coursed by dirty places. And they told them that, if they construct them in a better and strong way they can help them for a long time. After that Martin, Enock and the village leaders had a brief meeting to discuss about who they can help the community members to work on home facilities. The village leaders decided that they are willing and they’re going to work hard to encourage the residents to work on their sanitation facilities and to change that village. And kibo also is willing to work with them. The group walked in 46homes.
